About Me
Flowers have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and wedding floristry has taken me on quite a journey over the years.
I originally trained as a florist in my twenties while working for Guildford Borough Council, where I was part of the horticultural team responsible for growing plants from seed for the town’s floral displays and public spaces. It was there that I discovered my love of floristry after helping create arrangements for official council events and I quickly realised I wanted to pursue it professionally.

After completing my training, I worked in both a florist shop and on a busy flower market stall in Guildford, learning the fast-paced nature of the industry while developing my skills in bouquet work, customer service and event floristry.
Following a move to Birmingham, I continued my floristry career working within a busy family-run florist before moving into a specialist wedding florist role, where we regularly created flowers for multiple weddings each weekend. During this time, I also taught adult education floristry classes, sharing my love of flowers and design with others.
A few years later, life took us to Henley-on-Thames, where I created the flowers for my own wedding and soon after launched Tamara’s Blooms. The business continued to grow following our move to Dorking, where I created wedding flowers for couples across Surrey and the surrounding areas.
Since then, life and family adventures have taken us to Cornwall and eventually to our home here in the beautiful Blackdown Hills. Alongside floristry, I’ve explored other creative ventures over the years, including jewellery design and handmade products, but my love for wedding flowers has always remained at the heart of everything I do.
Now, I’m so excited to be relaunching Tamara’s Blooms (June 20026) and returning to what I’ve always loved most, creating beautiful wedding flowers for special days.
My style is natural, romantic and inspired by the seasons, with a focus on flowers that feel relaxed, elegant and full of movement. I love getting to know each couple and creating flowers that truly reflect the atmosphere and personality of their wedding day.
Based near Wellington, I now create wedding flowers for couples across Somerset and Devon, covering venues, churches and celebrations within approximately 25 miles of the Blackdown Hills.
I feel incredibly lucky to be returning to wedding floristry once again and I’d love to be part of your special day.
